Loops in handwriting are not always bad. But at some places they are. See the picture below. The loops in these letters are just not good. There is no point having them in our handwriting. These loops make people very very sensitive and it is quite difficult to deal with them. In a short video, Curtis Baggett of the Handwriting University International, USA, explains it in detail.
