Low t-bars in handwriting<\/h3>\n

One Sunday in March 2008 when I was preparing to leave for work, a middle-aged woman from Sion came to my flat for handwriting analysis. She said she \u201curgently\u201d needed help.<\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t want to be delayed so we drove in her chauffeur-driven car to my office at CST and finished the analysis through the one-hour journey.<\/p>\n

In the car, the woman fished out a handwriting sample from her purse. While I was scanning it, she brought out a postcard size photo of an extremely attractive girl.\u00a0(I got scared. My father had called me up a couple of days ago, asking me get married. I didn\u2019t know whether it was his ploy.)<\/p>\n

I gave her a nervous smile, had a look at the photo and returned it to her.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s 20 and she\u2019s my only daughter\u2026,\u201d the woman said even as I examined the sample. When I looked up, I saw her eyes were brimming. \u201cShe\u2019s in a problem. Can you help?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis girl hates herself.\u201d As soon as I said this, I saw the tears. I resumed: \u201cShe feels she\u2019s inadequate in all areas of life. Though she\u2019s so pretty, she hardly thinks so….\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s precisely why I showed you her photograph. Can we do something about it?\u201d<\/p>\n

After a detailed handwriting analysis<\/a>, she dropped me at office and left.<\/p>\n

I must tell you all that the girl was filled with terrible hatred for herself. She always disparaged herself and had appallingly low self-esteem.<\/p>\n

During the analysis,\u00a0I also discovered that thoughts to end her life had also crossed her mind several times. (Her mother had caught her with several sleeping pills.)<\/p>\n

The problem in her handwriting was shown by several self-sabotaging strokes, especially the t-bar (pic below) which almost touched the baseline and the small size of her writing.<\/p>\n

I personally know one such writer who is a looker and has a charming personality. But because she is \u201cnot fair\u201d, she doesn\u2019t like herself and believes that people might not want her around because of her dark complexion.<\/p>\n

Low t-bars<\/p><\/div>\n

In graphology<\/a>, there are many indicators of low self-esteem including low t-bars. Other indicators include signature size (signature analysis<\/a>) and height of capital letters.<\/p>\n

After the analysis, I gave the woman a few handwriting exercises for her daughter, which were aimed at removing self-hurting strokes, and also a special practice set to raise her t-bars lifting her self-esteem.<\/p>\n

The exercise was very necessary for her because a\u00a0healthy self-esteem enables one to be fair to one\u2019s accomplishments or failures and judge them without bias.<\/p>\n

Her mother spoke to me a few days later to tell me her daughter was showing signs of improvements.<\/p>\n
